Gilbert is the very first puppy born here at Glamorly. The dream of breeding Springers had been there for years, so planning and waiting for my first litter was somenthing very special. During Pamela's pregnancy time seemed to go sooo slowly, just her stomach was getting bigger and bigger. And then when Pam started to give birth, I realised that all these dreams would finally come true and real! The first one of the 8 puppies was a little dark male - Gilbert. I am sure I will never forget the moment when I held this newborn baby boy in my hand and huge pure happiness felt my heart. I remember thinking that moments like this make life worth living. Gilbert is a very positive young man who loves children. He was my favourite personality in the litter and actually the first one I called by name when he was about one week old. He was Antti's little Gilbert. As a bit older puppy his trademark was 'cocker tail': he wagged it all the time from side to side in a very cockery manner and that it how it is also today. Gilbert or just Gille as he is called at home has been lightly shown with just 13 outins ever and has 5 CC's. He finished his Ch title in Tallinn Aug 2011 and has now retired from the ring to enjoy family life. He was diagnosed glaucoma spring 2012 but is now doing fine. Our policy is to be open with the health issues and report the facts further to the breed club and use official tests when testing our stock. We think this is the only way to improve in aiming to breed healthy animals. Thank You Nina and family for great co-operation and for keeping Gille always in such a lovely muscle condition!
